Themed Dinner: Off-grid energy access – achieving the vision
Innovators in off-grid solar are scaling fast: they have raised over $500m and sold more than 20m products in Africa and Asia to date. Their businesses are bringing the first modern energy services to some of the 1.2bn people worldwide still living off the grid – and finding further opportunities, in efficient appliances, financial services and connectivity, among others. But the sector still has much to prove, and needs wider and deeper investment. A panel of experts will share their unique insights on achieving the off-grid vision.
